eGROUNDWATER hosts its final conference at UPV: Citizen Science and Technological Innovation in Groundwater Management

On September 26, 2024, IIAMA-UPV will host the final conference of the eGROUNDWATER project, bringing together international experts to address key challenges in sustainable groundwater management, particularly in the face of water scarcity and climate change.
The event will present project findings, highlighting the integration of citizen participation and advanced technologies like remote sensing and innovative sensors, aimed at improving groundwater resource modeling and management strategies.
Citizen Participation and New Technologies
A key focus will be how citizen science empowers local communities to actively monitor aquifers, combining traditional knowledge with scientific advancements. The conference will showcase innovations such as drones, satellite imagery, and advanced sensors that have been essential in improving resource management accuracy.
